GeekVape Aegis X Review, Built Tougher

If you’ve picked up a vape device you’ve probably heard the name GeekVape mentioned once or twice, you might’ve even heard of the aptly named Aegis Legend Box Mod as well. If you haven’t then let me clue you in on a little history lesson that starts back in 2017 with the original Aegis mod.

The Aegis changed the game when it came to vaping, introducing a device that was built to last with you through everything life had to offer. From waterproofing and shockproof chassis guards, to cross battery compatibility and a full TC suite, the Aegis had it all. A singular device to replace all other box mods.

So you imagine how excited I was to finally get my hands on the GeekVape Aegis X, the latest in a long line of fantastic devices!

The Looks  

A rugged and rubberized vista complete with soft leather highlights dominates one side of the device, while a massive HD Screen covers the other. Aside from the heavy-duty rubber guards. designed to protect from fall damage, you’ll find the chassis is mostly made from metal alloy with a brushed aluminum finish. A set of gold screws are recessed into the top of the 510 connection plate and add a nice highlight to the otherwise matte colors.

So far we have 8 different colors to choose from, each featuring a different highlight on the rear plate. I think, given their past, we can expect a few more colors to come out in the future. The leather grips built into the back of the Aegis X are mostly black with a few exceptions like camo and silver. 

With that huge front screen comes another slew of customization options as well, including different display design themes. Plus, of course, there’s a rainbow of colors to choose from so you can make your device look exactly how you want it to. 

How it Works

The Aegis X lives up to its predecessor's performance and goes above and beyond with new technologies. Built with the brand new AS 2.0 Chipset at its heart, the Aegis X is designed with veteran vapers in mind. An ultra-fast fire rate, standard adjustable preheat modes, precise temperature control and stable power output are all hallmarks of the new chipset. 

After using this Mod for a few weeks I can guarantee it’ll become your go-to device once you get your hands on it. There’s plenty of mods out there that have similar function to the GeekVape Aegis X, but no other device on the market can do what it can do while still maintaining a waterproof, shockproof, and dustproof construction. I bring the Aegis X with me whenever I’m relaxing in the hot tub, I don’t think there’s another device on the market that can boast that same sense of security. 

The Verdict

BUY BUY BUY! In all honesty, if you’re looking for a powerful 200W capable mod, I can’t give you a reason why you shouldn’t by the Aegis X. I mean it has all of the function you could ever ask for in a vape device, from custom TCR and TC curves to standard preheat modes, with the added bonus of being virtually indestructible. If you’re going to spend any amount of money on a vape device, don’t you want to be absolutely certain it's going to last you a long time? 

With the GeekVape Aegis X you know you’re buying a quality built device that’s going to keep working throughout the years. I know a lot of veterans who are just now switching to the Aegis X from their original Aegis devices. Not because their original devices stopped working, but because they like the look of the new one!
